The Eisco Labs Garage Physics line is aimed at students interested in STEM concepts included physics and engineering. Each kit engages learners to discover new ideas about the physical world through assembly and play. Our mission is simple; to be TRUSTED by educators, researchers, and scientists throughout the world to design, manufacture, and DELIVER products that allow LEARNING and the development of scientific knowledge. For over 50 years, Eisco Scientific has been manufacturing and selling quality science equipment and supplies worldwide. Eisco Scientific is a multinational corporation, providing products to academic and industrial customers in over 100 countries. Eisco products have been carefully designed by laboratory professionals along-side experienced engineers with quality and durability in mind. They are manufactured with only the highest grade raw materials and according to international quality standards to ensure that they can withstand use in even the toughest laboratory environments EXPLORE PROJECTILE MOTION || Step aside standard trebuchet! The MultiRadius Linear-Node (MURLIN) Trebuchet combines the throwing advantage of the standard trebuchet with a highly efficient spinning windup. Explore how the use of a simple machine (a pulley) efficiently redirects gravitational potential energy to achieve this amazing result STEM LEARNING || Introduces and demonstrates real world STEM concepts. Allows students of all ages to explore and visualize projectile motion, gravitational potential energy, velocity, motion & stability ENGAGING & FUN || An excellent activity for classrooms and at home. Students can use the included ping pong ball, or other light weight projectiles of their own design. Each kit engages learners to discover new ideas about the physical world through assembly and play Read more Step aside standard trebuchet! The MultiRadius Linear-Node (MURLIN) Trebuchet combines the throwing advantage of the standard trebuchet with a highly efficient spinning windup. The result? Projectiles launch much farther compared to the size of the trebuchet. This MURLIN trebuchet throws the included ping pong ball more than 30 feet. The throwing arm in this model is half that of our Large Trebuchet (GP0009), but throws just as far. Explore how the use of a simple machine (a pulley) efficiently redirects gravitational potential energy to achieve this amazing result. Included in Kit 2 A-frame supports, front and back base struts, pulley mount, swing arm, Two 8“ long dowels, release pin, leather pouch, sliding pouch holder, 1 kg counterweight, pulley, 2 wood screws (for pulley), 2 orange strings (one 26“ length, one 19“ length) for sling, one 40“ pink string for counterweight, 1 ping pong ball, and 1 rubber band, and instructions for assembly & experimental activities. Students can use the included ping pong ball, or other light weight projectiles of their own design Wooden components made with precision-cut Birch verner pure bond plywood A small Phillip’s screwdriver is required for assembly (not included) Read more
